Scope of Work
Terminal Master Plan, economic feasibility and engineering design study.
The proposed layout of the terminal occupies an area of 60050 m2, The proposed Jetty is 330 meter long from the east side which is used for the receiving vessel berth, and 260 meter long from the west side which is inside the inner basin of Dekhila port and which is used for shipping vessels berth. The width of the Jetty is 35 meter, the jetty is connected to the yard by the two conveyor belt systems (receiving and shipping).
The Dry Bulk Terminal project comprises two main activities. Raw Material Handling, and Finished Product Handling, Raw Material Handling includes: Two Ship Unloaders each rated 1750 MT/hour with hoppers، feeders، conveyors to unload vessels over the conveying system and One belt conveyor system rated 4000 MT/hour to convey the raw material in bulk from berth towards the factory stockyard.
The other main operation part is Finished Product Handling which will involve: finished product conveying system from the factory stockyard towards the ship loading facilities, A single belt conveying system rated 3000 MT/hour to convey the finished product from the pellet plant to berth with no intervention at the emergency stockyard and one Ship Loader of a traveling boom type with conveyors, and shuttle head.The proposed quay is required to serve iron ore Capsize vessels with DWT of 168000 tons and draft of 18 m, the required length of the quay shall be 340 meters. The Total CAPEX cost of the project is estimated to be 146 million Us dollars, the design includes all civil, maritime and infrastructure works for the project.
